Other bunker liners look “invasive”, “ugly” or “unappealing” when exposed, particularly the “hard” bunker liners which are often grey or even black
(bitumen-based products). Exposed concrete or hard liners also pose a threat to damaging golf and
maintenance equipment, as well as creating awkward bounces when struck by a golf ball.

With Bunker Armour®, there is only a “splash” of sand required to be present on the bunker faces as the product is maleable and “absorbs” the impact of both golf ball and club strikes.  Even when it is exposed, it is barely noticeable as it is made from and looks like the sand in the bunker.

High Bunker Face

High bunker faces are synonymous with the designs of the leading golf course architects and have become a standard with the world’s most iconic and beautiful golf courses that don the television screens for the lucrative tour events, keeping the golfing enthusiast watching the world’s best golfers ply their trade.

Although awesome in appearance, behind the scenes these features come …. correction … came with a big price tag.

With that, it is vitally important to install effective bunker liners in bunkers that create significant maintenance and financial cost savings, as well as offering ongoing visually great bunkers.

Bunker Armour® is all that!

Visually attractive

Bunker Armour® is visually attractive even when exposed ….

Particularly with high or steep bunker faces, bunker liners are often exposed, leaving them to face the elements as well as creating visual pollution to even the most pristine golf course.

Even after the most intense rainstorms, Bunker Armour® remains aesthetically intact and requires only that the bunker receives a normal bout of raking and it’s back to perfect!

Whilst the turf team are out there raking, golfers wouldn’t even see that the bunkers were anything other than awesome, due to the fact that Bunker Armour® looks like sand … because it is!

Complimenting the design

With Bunker Armour®, building or refurbishing bunkers is not only simple, but also lends itself to being installed in any bunker, thus allowing for a solution that doesn’t require any structural remodeling or alteration to the design of the course, which is often precluded with the agreement by the course designer.

Existing Bunker Liner

Bunker Armour® can be installed over any other bunker liner.
This removes the cost of demolition, extraction and dumping your previous liner when it expires or fails to serve its purpose.

In fact, Bunker Armour® can be used to remedy performance of many liners by being installed on the bunker walls to change hard liners requiring copious amounts of sand to be installed over them to avoid contact with golf equipment and causing plugged lies.
